The Declaration of Independence was first read in public in Philadelphia on July 8, 1776. Join us at The State Museum of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, July 8 as we read the Declaration together with organizations across the nation. The reading will take place at 6:00 P.M. in the Revolutionary Things exhibit on the first floor of the Museum. Admission is free for this event. Galleries will be open from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
