Virtual Program: Middle Creek’s Spring Waterfowl Migration

February 17 @ 12:15 pm

In 2018, Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area hosted nearly 180,000 migrating snow geese and tens of thousands of other waterfowl species. This 6,000-acre location is popular stop for both the birds and for bird watchers. Join us as we talk to Brant Portner, an Environmental Education Specialist for the Pennsylvania Game Commission at the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area, about the origins of this migration event, what makes these bird species unique, and get tips for how to best view the birds during the spring migration.
The virtual Learn at Lunchtime programs are presented over Zoom and are free, but registration is required. Click here to register now. Once registration is complete, attendees will receive an attendance link and password for all of the programs listed. Presentations begin at 12:15 PM and will last approximately 20 minutes followed by a question and answer session.
