Virtual Program: Snakes of Pennsylvania

Friday, June 21 at 12:15pm

Did you know that there are 21 different species of snakes in Pennsylvania and only three of them are venomous? Join Kathy Gipe, herpetologist and nongame biologist for Pennsylvania’s Fish and Boat Commission, to learn more about Pennsylvania snakes – which are venomous, which is the smallest, which is considered the most aggressive, and which snake she thinks has some of the coolest adaptations. Learn about the diversity of snake species in the state and why we should not be afraid.
Presentations begin at 12:15 PM and last approximately 20 minutes followed by a question-and-answer session.
Registration is required to attend the free, virtual program. Click here to register now.
