Virtual Program: Leading the Way with eDNA!

Friday, March 21 at 12:15 pm

In the same way police use DNA to identify individuals in a crime, Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) scientists are using eDNA (environmental DNA) to track their own “bad guys” – invasive fish species that may be harmful to native wildlife. SRBC Aquatic Biologist Luanne Steffy will explain the methods, gear and best practices that her team is using as they lead the way with this valuable monitoring technique.

Presentations begin at 12:15 PM and are followed by a question-and-answer session. Registration is required to attend the free, virtual program. Click here to register now.
