What’s the sound? From warblers to chickadees, songbirds are often heard before they are seen. Join retired PA Game Commission Conservation Officer Scott Bills, as we talk about native songbirds of Pennsylvania and how you can create a safe and inviting habitat for them in your backyard.
Scott Bills enjoyed a career as a Land Manager and Conservation Officer with the Pennsylvania Game Commission spanning 34 years. A founding member of the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art, and currently serving as the chairperson for the Lands and Trails Committee for the past 17 years. Naturalist, Speaker, Birding Guide, Bander, Native Landscapes Advocate and Advisor. Taught Ornithology and Bird ID at the Ross Leffler School of Conservation for most of his career. Over 50 years of birding experience. Leads annual bird walks for Penn State University, Dickenson College, and the Ned Smith Center.
