Reciprocal Museum Benefits
Blue Star Museums is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the Department of Defense and museums across America, offering free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve.
The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission (PHMC) has joined other museums across the country in Museums for All, a signature access program of the Association of Children’s Museums and the Institute of Museum and Library Services aimed at encouraging families of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum habits.
This program enables low-income families to explore Pennsylvania’s rich history and culture by visiting participating state-owned museums for a minimal fee of $2 per person with the presentation of an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) or WIC card and identification. This offer is for general admission only and excludes special programs or events.
Members of these programs are entitled to: Free admission for up to two adults and up to four children under 18 of the same household. Adult cardholders must be present.
Reciprocal benefits do not extend to non-family groups, planetarium tickets, group reservations and some special events. We recommend you call before you arrive to confirm admission details.
For ASTC Benefits: Make sure the science center or museum you are visiting is not located within 90 miles of either your home residence or the science center or museum that you belong to. This distance is measured as a linear radius, not driving distance.
Pennsylvania Heritage Foundation Membership
