The Curiosity Connection Logo

Curiosity Connection is The State Museum’s one-of-a-kind, exciting hands-on play environment. Designed as a Pennsylvania-themed introduction to the museum’s exhibitions and collections, Curiosity Connection is an imaginative child-sized space where kids ages 2-5 can play, discover and learn together.

Admission to Curiosity Connection is included with the museum’s general admission. Curiosity Connection capacity is limited to 50 visitors and all children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. On high visitation days, The State Museum reserves the right to issue timed tickets which provide 45 minutes of play for our visitors on a first come, first served basis.

Storytime at Curiosity Connection is our popular reading series for children aged 3 to 5 that takes place at select times during the calendar year.

Storytime at Curiosity Connection logoThe readings feature a different book each week and have included Caldecott award-winners as well as selections from Pennsylvania’s “One Book Every Young Child” annual series. Held in The State Museum’s engaging early learning space Curiosity Connection, each reading is followed by a related play activity with some programs continuing into a museum gallery where a special activity will highlight an artifact or museum feature.
