Event Navigation

Enjoy a special stroller-friendly tour for parent and caregivers of children 0 to roughly 18 months. Led by Museum Fine Arts Curator Amy Hammond, this is an exploration of Art of the State and adult conversation about art.

Strollers and front carriers are permitted and so are crying babies! Fun art activities will be provided for older siblings in Village Square, adjacent to Art of the State with supervision from Museum Educators and Volunteers. The tour is approximately 30 minutes long and is included with general admission to the Museum.

Art of the State, open to Pennsylvania artists and craftspeople, is an annual juried exhibition held at The State Museum of Pennsylvania. Now in its 52nd year, Art of the State continues to provide an opportunity for both established and emerging Pennsylvania artists to exhibit their work and receive statewide recognition

Finalists were selected from 2,170 entries. A gallery of works is available here: http://bit.ly/ArtofState2019
