Join archivists and watch a selection of historic films from the collections of the Pennsylvania State Archives. These films show scenes from Philadelphia’s infamous Eastern State Penitentiary, the 1938 Battle of Gettysburg Reunion, early footage of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and life at Laurelton State Village. The State Archives has digitized dozens of historical films in recent years covering a wide range of Pennsylvania events and topics.
Fridays at The State Museum offer a new twist this summer – “Pay as you wish!”
For general admission on Learn at Lunchtime Fridays, June 22 through August 24, the amount you pay for general admission is up to you.
Art docents will be available to give tours in Art of the State 11AM – 1PM.
Curiosity Connection will have, limited timed-tickets available for 45 minutes of play per hour from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
