Learn at Lunchtime: “Dressed for Service”

Dressed For Service Pennsylvanians in the Great War Opening Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11, 2018 100th Anniversary of the end of World War I

Join History Curator Katie McGowan for a tourĀ Dressed for Service: The American Red Cross Knits for Uncle Sam! She will discuss how the American Red Cross led the effort to provide knitted goods to soldiers on the front lines during WWI.

Dressed for Service documents the service of six Pennsylvanians and the contributions of their organizations during World War I. These volunteers preserved their stories through the clothing and the personal effects that they saved.

This program is included with General Admission.

This exhibit will be on display through Sunday, May 5, 2019.
