Nature Lab Meet the Experts: History of Digging Fort Hunter

Join Jim Herbstritt and Kim Sebestyen, Curators of Archaeology,  to hear about their discoveries from excavations at Fort Hunter Mansion & Park. Learn how artifacts recovered at Fort Hunter help to tell the story of daily activities of Native Americans 9,000 years ago, through the colonial period to present day.

This presentation is included with general admission to The Museum.

About Summer 2018 Nature Lab Meet the Experts
This summer, The State Museum of Pennsylvania will offer visitors the opportunity to engage with museum curators and representatives of various Pennsylvania State agencies through its Summer 2018 Meet the Experts in Nature Lab series. Specialists in fields ranging from archaeology to environmental protection will lead a variety of hands-on programs geared toward all ages and designed to educate visitors about the rich natural world of Pennsylvania. Nature Lab features live educational presentations, as well as interactive, hands-on learning experiences.
