Join us as Director Beth Hager and artist Isaac Pelepko lead a casual tour of the Art of the State exhibition, sharing their insights on the show. Mr. Pelepko’s painting The Cute Parade is this years first place award winner for painting.
The Annual Art of the State is recognized as the official, statewide juried competition for Pennsylvania artists. Jurors selected artwork from five categories: Craft, Painting, Photography, Sculpture and Work on Paper and includes 103 works by 99 artists from 27 counties. The exhibit closes Sunday, September 9, 2018.
Museum general admission is free for the day. For Gallery Walk Sunday Sept 9, 2018, The State Museum will be open special hours 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
Art of the State is presented by Jump Street and The State Museum of Pennsylvania.
