Virtual Artists Conversations: Lauren Litwa

August 6 @ 12:15 pm - 12:45 pm

Join Amy Hammond and artist Lauren Litwa for a discussion about Tekla’s Ladder and the many ways this painting shows Lauren’s deep connection to her family and their farm in Delaware County. Having spent years living and painting in Pennsylvania, Lauren explores a deep connection to her natural surroundings. Lauren will discuss Tekla’s Ladder within the context of her larger body of work and explain the different approaches she takes when painting en plein air, or outdoors, and creating mystical environments in her studio work.

Sessions will be presented over Zoom and are free, but registration is required. Click here to register for this program. Once registration is complete, attendees will receive an attendance link and password for all of the sessions listed.

Lauren Litwa is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. She was awarded the Cresson Scholarship Award, a fellowship from The Center for Emerging Visual Artists (formerly Creative Artists Network) and The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant for painting.  She has been a member of Assemblage, an artist collective from the Tri-State Area, which exhibited at the Delaware Art Museum in 2017. She attended residencies at the Margo-Kelb Dune Shack in Cape Cod and La Villa Arrigo in Florence, Italy. Her work has been exhibited both in both national and international exhibitions.
