Join us for the second annual “Great Summer Switch” a collaboration with Susquehanna Art Museum. Tina Sell, Susquehanna Art Museum’s Director of Education, will conduct a tour of Art of the State at 6 PM. Then visitors can walk up the street to Susquehanna Art Museum to hear PHMC’s Commissioner and artist Ophelia Chambliss give a tour of Romare Bearden: Vision & Activism at 7:15 PM.
The State Museum will open at 5:30 PM and close at 7:30 PM.
Art of the State is recognized as the official, statewide juried competition for Pennsylvania artists. Jurors selected artwork from five categories: Craft, Painting, Photography, Sculpture and Work on Paper and includes 103 works by 99 artists from 27 counties. The exhibit runs from June 24 through September 9, 2018.
Art of the State is presented by Jump Street and The State Museum of Pennsylvania.

The State Museum is free during the hours of the event as part of the 3rd in the BURG.
