Art of the State 2012 Winners

Art of the State®, a special annual exhibition, is recognized as the official, statewide juried competition for Pennsylvania artists. This year’s first-prize winners are from Bedford, Bucks Dauphin, Delaware and Lancaster counties. Special awards went to artists from Centre, Lackawanna, Luzerne and York and counties. The winners were selected from among 115 finalists of the more than 1,800 submissions. Art of the State® is presented by The Greater Harrisburg Arts Council and The State Museum of Pennsylvania and runs through September 9, 2012.

3rd prize: Goeff Crego, Camp Hill, Cumberland County – Sun Breaking Through, photograph

1st prize: Jason Rowles, Springfield, Delaware County – Revisited, Fraser, PA, watercolor
2nd prize: Rebecca Signoriello, New Castle, Lawrence County – Fallen, oil on linen
3rd prize: Russell Williams, Philadelphia – Natural Crimson, acrylic on board
